Jurisprudence Information

Thank you for your interest in applying for a License in the State of Nevada. Pursuant to state law, all candidates for Nevada dental/dental hygiene licensure must pass a written examination on the contents and interpretation of NRS 631 and NAC 631. You are required to PASS the jurisprudence examination before the board considers your application.

**You will need to confirm by either phone or email that the Board has received your licensure application. An appointment for the jurisprudence examination can be made only after the Board office has received the completed licensure application and appropriate application fees. Once you know the Board is in receipt of your application then you may schedule an appointment to take the jurisprudence examination pursuant to regulation.**

Sessions are held at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month. Should that Monday fall on a state or federal holiday, the examination will be held on the first Tuesday of that month. A copy of your driver’s license and fingerprints will be required prior to the examination. Fingerprints will be taken prior to start of exam on exam date.

Scheduling inquiries may be directed to Rigo Morales at 800-337-3926, ext 35. Email: nsbde@nsbde.nv.gov.

The jurisprudence examination is administered at the office of:
